Executive Director (not a board position) - Don McLaughlin.

A brief biographical description for each board member is to follow to both meet requirements for the 501c3 application and to inform the community. The bios will appear on the chewelahpaca.org website.

Don introduced an Executive Report (click here - Word doc), which, in summary, identifies individuals for youth theatre, dance productions, community theatre productions, plus letters of agreement regarding the PACA Theatre spaces, as well as thoughts about plans, budgets, payments, development, and related topics, plus 501c3 requirements.

The financial report shows funds-on-hand of approximately $4,000, which includes the proceeds of the rummage sale of nearly $2,000.

A fiscal year was decided upon to be July 1 to June 30, and monthly meetings to be the 1st Tuesday of each month at 5:30pm at the Celebrations Building, plus the yearly meeting the 1st Tuesday in October.

Rummage sale report was given by Dave, who thanked all the volunteers who helped move everything to the sale location, to setup, and then to run the sale, which by all accounts was a success bringing in over $2,100 with expenses of less than $200.

Building plans update included some ideas about making the stage permanent, while initially making the seating moveable, thus creating a more flexible space until such time the theatre is enlarged. Initial thoughts were discussed regarding fees to rent theatre spaces, with an eye towards actual operating costs. Tracey is going to discuss these and similar issues with the staff of the Cutter Theater in Metaline Falls.

The bylaws of incorporation, introduced in the previous meeting, were accepted as written without further discussion.

A general discussion was made regarding fund raising events with a tentative decision to have The Event II in the fall, 2008, and to consider having an Event twice a year.

The Logo issue was postponed again.

The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 3rd at the Chewelah City Hall, Council Chambers, 301 E. Clay St. Chewelah, WA 99109. The agenda will center on Financials, Productions, Buildings and Grounds, Fund Drive, and Building Plans.
